CTR Center for Translational Research AB (CTR) has recently completed a strategic acquisition of A+ Science AB. As part of the agreement, all operations within A+ will be integrated into CTR’s wholly-owned subsidiary, CTC Clinical Trial Consultants AB (CTC). The acquisition of A+ Science expands CTC’s portfolio of pharmacovigilance services and reinforces other operational activities.
With this merger, CTC aims to expand its international presence and become an even stronger provider of CRO services. CTC’s extensive resources combined with A+ Science’s network and established collaborations with European CRO companies are expected to create synergies enabling more extensive clinical trials.
The combined expertise of the companies also lays the groundwork for offering a comprehensive pharmacovigilance package that covers safety monitoring both during the clinical development program and post-approval. In summary, the acquisition of A+ marks a significant milestone in CTC’s continued efforts to diversify its services and strengthen its position as an obvious and attractive player in the market.
”With the transfer of A+ Science to CTC, we will further develop our services for existing and new clients, and we are pleased to welcome the experienced staff of A+ to the CTR group,” says Karin Meyer, CEO of CTR.
”CTC sees great potential in this acquisition and we are excited about the new opportunities that arise from merging with A+,” says Anders Millerhovf, CEO of CTC.
”We look forward to merging with CTC, a Swedish company that shares A+ Science’s core values. Our previous collaboration with CTC has demonstrated their customer orientation and professionalism. A+ Science, with 26 years of experience and an extensive network in the Nordics and Europe, will enhance CTC. We have always offered cost-effective, tailored solutions, and the merger will boost our capacity to meet customer needs,” says Eva Fredriksson, CEO of A+.
