After 7 years as chairman of the board of Center for Translational Research (CTR), chairman and founder Bengt Dahlström handed over the chairmanship to Hans Andreasson at the General meeting on 23 May. Bengt started as chairman of the board of Clinical Trial Consultants (CTC), the first company in the CTR group, back in 2011.
He has been fundamental in the creation and development of CTR. Today, the company consists of a group of six complementary life science service companies, offering expert knowledge to the Nordic as well as the international life science sector. In addition to electing Bengt as an ordinary member, the general meeting decided to appoint him Honorary Chairman of CTR AB.
”Renewal and continuity have always been important keywords to strengthen the board in CTR. It is therefore with joy and confidence that I am handing over the chairmanship to Hans Andreasson,” comments Bengt Dahlström. ”Both Hans Andreasson and Katarina Sjögren bring important new skills and also have extensive experience from management work. I look forward to continued good cooperation with them and the other board members, when further developing the company”
The newly appointed chairman of the board Hans Andreasson has been a board member of CTR since 2020. Hans has solid experience from leading positions in the life science sector as well as international board work, and is currently Investment Director at the Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund ”Bengt is a visionary person, who has purposefully built CTR into a unique organization with a very strong market position in the Nordic countries. I thank you for giving me the trust to shoulder the chairmanship and really look forward to, together with the board and management, make the best of all the exciting development opportunities we have ahead of us.”
Katarina Sjögren was also elected as a new board member. Katarina has 25 years of experience from various leading positions such as CFO, CEO as well as board member and chairman of companies within healthcare, care and education, most recently in the role as CEO at the education company Atvexa. ”CTR is a very exciting and well-run company and I am both proud and happy to have been elected member of the board. I believe that with my background, I complement the team and look forward to contributing to CTR’s continued journey together with the other board members,” says Katarina Sjögren.
CTR has grown a lot, both organic and through company acquisitions, and with these changes in the board, the company is well equipped for future development steps.
